Mr. Willy T. Blazer, Vice Counselor and Head of Chancery of Switzerland in India added Khajjiar on the world tourism map by christening it "Mini Switzerland" on 7 July 1992,. He also put a sign board of a yellow Swiss hiking footpath showing Khajjiar's distance from the Swiss capital Berne-6194 km.

Temple-khajjiar
This temple is located in the Khajjiar ground, and was developed by the five pandavas during the time of Mahabharata, to worship Nag devta, and it is believed that Khajji Nag devta lives in the Khajjiar lake. It is a fact that this lake has no end.Panch pandav tree-khajjiar
This tree is also known as mother tree and is so large. It was believed that the five pandavas rested here during their exile. The Panch Pandav Tree is situated in the ground of Khajjiar. The tree is famous for its shoots. Although the main root of the tree and the shoots are same, there are six shoots branching out from the tree.According to the local inhabitants, the five shoots of this tree stand for the Five Pandavas and the last one symbolises Draupadi.
